The founder of Shuga band, Akinloye Tofowomo, has released a song in honour of late pillar of sport and business mogul, Moshood Kashimawo Olawale Abiola (MKO), the presumed winner of the presidential elections on June 12, 1993.
Akin Shuga, as he is fondly called, is an admirer of the late philanthropist and late publisher of the defunct Concord Newspapers whom he had encountered several times in the past. Akin said his admiration, relationship and exceptional qualities as a woman all combined to inspire him to go into the studio to record a song that which are already touting to be a classic.
Shuga Band consists of young and talented musicians who see music more as a passion than a trade, with the ability to bridge the gap between the young and the old at parties while rendering legendary old school tunes and blending them with African flavours to everyone’s satisfaction as their hallmark.
